Putting Your Best Face First!

Last night we went swimming at the YMCA as a family. The kids had a blast. We have only had our membership for about a week and we have already been swimming 4 times.

Little Miss loves jumping in the pool to Mommy and Daddy. "Again, again!" is her favorite phrase. The older kidlets like jumping in the pool almost as much as their little sister. Cowboy has finally gotten over his fear of jumping in the water, so he's joining in the fun too. So we were having lots of splashing and jumping.

Princess learned a very important lesson about jumping in the pool last night. Do not jump into the pool backwards, or this might happen.

Can't spot her injury? Well, I'm sure you can see it now. Ouch! The ER doctor put in 7 stiches.

She was a super trooper. She did better than some of her brothers when they had to get stiches. When I asked her how she keep from crying she said, "I just thought about my ballet recital." That's our girl!

Tea Time

It was the Princess' birthday last month. She and I had a grand time planning her party. It's always fun to have a reason to get dressed up and have a Tea party!

Everyone dressed up in their best party dresses. There was lots of fancy food to eat. Like these strawberry ladybugs, fresh pineapple cut in flower shapes, and red grapes.

Here's our court of ladies in waiting. Each is a Polly Pocket doll with a custom made cupcake coture icing dress. Ooooh la la.

A close up of the fancy icing dresses. They really weren't that hard to make and I had lots of fun tring to make each dress special and diffrent.

The remains of the day. I was happy that the girls ate as many of the tea sandwiches as they did. My favorites were the peanut butter and jelly flowers. They are the ones with the red centers on the cake stands. Verrrry labor intensive to make, but sooooooo cute.

It was a great party. Just ask Little Miss. She wasn't very happy when it was over and everyone went home. (Ya just gotta love that face though.)

The Dancing Princess

Princess has started taking ballet lessons.
It was love at first sight.
Here are a few pictures of what she has learned so far.

Little Miss had to try on her sister's ballet slippers.
